Allen & Heath Xone K2, portable and slim midi controller with built-in 4-channel sound card, compatible with Ableton, Virtual DJ, Traktor Pro, Mixx and MixVibes software. It can even be used for light control or with VJ programs, as long as they can communicate via midi commands. On its surface are 52 buttons (18 rotating potentiometers, 30 illuminated pads, 4 sliding potentiometers) offering 171 midi commands in 3 different layers. K2 is fully customizable, which means that the user chooses what each button will do, creating a completely personal set up (mapping). In the user manual there are examples of customization (maps) to get you started and instructions on how to make your own.
Also, via X:LINK you can add more K2s to each other (Link) without tying up additional USB ports from your computer. Mapping the functions from the software to the Xone:K2 is quick and easy and the controller buttons are illuminated, in 3 colours for faster identification of the defined functions.
The package includes the carrying case which can also be used as a stand for the K2, bringing it to the height of the mixer for ease of use.
