The WA-47jr is a transformer-less FET version of the exceptionally renowned and classic 47 microphone, which has been used in countless successful album recordings over the past 50+ years. The WA-47jr is fully discrete, features 3 polar patterns, and is designed for various applications including: professional studio recording, home studio, live concerts, and radio broadcasts. It excels on vocals, electric/acoustic guitar and bass, drums, piano, strings, and brass instruments.

The WA-47jr utilizes a custom K47-type capsule, engineered with the same hole pattern and frequency response as the vintage 47 design. This capsule version (model #WA-47-V-80v) is meticulously crafted by an Australian manufacturer whose precision and repeatability allow us to achieve the vintage characteristics essential for the sound and quality of the microphone, creating the character and signature of the WA-47jr.

With low-noise performance, the discrete signal path of the WA-47jr, when combined with this exceptional 47-type capsule, allows the microphone to achieve a very similar tone to the classic 47, but at a much more affordable price. The WA-47jr uses the same K47-style capsule found in the WA-47.
