The SATURN 2 is the second generation of the authentic, award-winning, best-selling Saturn microphone, which was discontinued in 2015. The brand-new SATURN 2 is a triumph of British design and engineering. The original proprietary circuit design has been further refined using the finest electronic components with exceptionally low tolerances, offering impeccable and accurate response.
The body, selector switch, shock-mount base and iconic ring are all precisely engineered and anodized to military specifications, ensuring a stunning and durable finish.
One of the key improvements of the SATURN 2 is the expanded pickup functionality, featuring nine polar patterns: the five shown on the front panel – omni, subcardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid and figure-of-8 – plus four intermediate positions. Patterns are selected using the new digitally-controlled selector and indicated by a blue LED or a pair of LEDs for the intermediate patterns.
The front panel also features switches for the two-stage filter (75Hz, 125Hz) and pad (-10dB, -20dB), providing flexibility in every recording situation.
