  • Multi-layer capsule design transcends previous electret limitations
  • Enhanced clarity in critical frequency ranges
  • Cardioid pattern for reliable source isolation
  • Unparalleled tonal consistency for stable sound
  • Durable design and construction for extended lifespan
Upgrading the Electret Principle to a New Level The KK 14 captures the characteristic sound of acoustic instruments with accuracy and neutrality. It transcends the previous limitations of the electret principle to deliver wider bass and midrange presence and assured elegance in the treble. Whether the quietest nuances or the ultimate dynamics of a powerful fortissimo: With a maximum SPL of 153, the KK 14 is open to all details. Eight Parts of Perfection To achieve this, Neumanns engineers reconsidered the production process for electret-based microphones. Neumann chose a multi-layer structure where each unit of the KK 14 is manufactured and designed to deliver the perfect result. Subsequently, components are assembled by hand in Germany. This eliminates typical compromises by offering unparalleled acoustic properties. While the titanium housing is a component of the tough design, it is also an expression of internal elegance in design and engineering. Tonal Consistency and Design. Durability in All Conditions. The multi-layer design also offers an unprecedented level of tonal consistency - every capsule sounds exactly the same. It saves engineers the time needed for basic EQ-ing and delivers consistent sound from the first soundcheck. The system is designed for years, not just one season. Its modular design also allows easy replacement of spare parts. Nine attachment clips enable reliable placement on any instrument while being safe for every surface. The system connects with all major wireless systems and includes cable options for 3.5 mm jack, Lemo, mini-XLR 4-pin, MicroDot or wired connection. Technical Data KK 14 Capsule
