Description

Essentially a 1073 module in line mode operation, it has become a perfect match with the 73JR. It is also one of the favorites for mixing settings in MCM8, where the rounded bass, silky highs, and clear mids deliver classic sound to your mixes. The 73EQ JR is a fully equipped line input module for the 500 series. Not only does it share the 3-band equalizer with its larger brother, the Heritage Audio 1073, but it also shares the same line preamplifier and class A output stage. These facts make the 73EQ JR unique in its class, with the ability to capture Class A sound without relying on external preamplifiers. The equalizer features the same Baxandall High / Low type found on the HA1073, with the addition of a high frequency selection switch. 4 different frequencies are possible instead of the fixed 12Khz. The mid band is exactly the same, with thick low and sweet boost in the high mid range without the sound becoming muddy or brittle. The line preamplifier has a range from +6 to -20dB, allowing large eq boosts without overloading A / D converters. Finally, special attention has been paid to power handling, applying an internal +24v slow activation (approximately 20 seconds to reach full voltage). This makes the 500 series voltage more stable and makes the 73EQ JR independent of the other slots.

Features:
  • Line input impedance: 10K Ohms bridging, Carnhill transformer (balanced and floating).
  • Output impedance: Less than 75 Ohms, with Carnhill transformer (balanced and floating), to drive 600 ohm load (factory terminated).
  • Maximum output: More than +26 dBm at 600 ohm.
  • Harmonic Distortion (THD): Less than 0.025% at 1 Khz, less than 0.05% at 100Hz.
  • Maximum gain: 6dB.
  • Power consumption: Less than 85 mA per rail at +-16VDC.
