New Technology in DI Boxes
Warm Audios DI units offer the flexibility of having a built-in pad pot that reduces the input signal throughout the range from -3dB to -30dB, which will easily enhance any source.
Warm Audios Direct Boxes offer a Thru output that passes the input connector. This is an input that allows you to send your instrument signal to a second output in the live mix or a recording unit. Warm Audios DI Boxes can also receive a recorded Line signal and send it to another Line input, while simultaneously sending the signal to the DIs XLR microphone output.

In simple terms, a DI converts high impedance, unbalanced signals into low impedance, balanced output signals. This way, instrument signals are now converted to the appropriate voltage level for your PA or recording system - which significantly reduces or eliminates connections that could cause noise and distortion.
Passive or Active?
- The Active Direct Box is ideal for instruments with passive pickup devices, such as acoustic instruments. The Active Direct Box can also operate in Passive mode.
- The Passive Direct Box is best for balancing the signal of instruments with active electronics, but still performs exceptionally well on passive inputs, producing a frequency range that exceeds the bandwidth of most passive DIs on the market.
