Arturia MiniFreak 49
The Arturia MiniFreak 49 brings the creative architecture of MiniFreak to a larger, more expressive instrument with 49 full-size semi-weighted keys, velocity and mono aftertouch. It combines two digital sound engines, over 30 oscillator modes, 6-voice polyphony and a true analog filter per voice, offering an enormous spectrum of sounds from Virtual Analog and FM to wavetable, sampling and granular synthesis.
The new XYZ Touch Matrix creates an even more direct way to interact with the synthesizer, combining modulation assignment, preset browsing, real-time sound control and visual feedback in a multitouch surface. Features such as Voice Panning, audio-rate FM modulation of the analog filter, advanced modulation, sequencer and Spice & Dice make the MiniFreak 49 an exceptionally powerful tool for both sound design and live performance.

Massive Sound Palette
The two independent digital engines offer over 30 oscillator modes, covering Virtual Analog, FM, wavetable, sample and granular synthesis. The second engine can also process the first, opening even more possibilities for complex and unusual sound structures.
Polyphonic Analog Filter
Each of the six voices has its own analog state-variable filter with Low Pass, High Pass and Band Pass functions. The filter can reach self-oscillation, while the MiniFreak 49 adds audio-rate FM modulation of cutoff directly from either of the two sound engines.
Via the audio input you can also route external audio sources through the voice architecture, using the MiniFreak 49 as a creative sound processor.

Freak Control — Shape Sound by Touch
Through Freak Control you can manipulate Macros, Gate and Spice, as well as bipolar and vector layouts already mapped to different sections of the synthesis engine. When you find the ideal point within the surface, you can lock it and maintain that specific sound state.
Advanced Modulation
The MiniFreak 49 features two LFOs with selectable waveforms, free or synchronized operation, custom shape editing and randomisation. Modulation can be directly assigned to engines, filters, effects and other modulators.
Also offered is a polyphonic cycling envelope with Run and Loop modes, capable of operating at audio rate, offering everything from slow evolving movements to complex modulation at audio speeds.
Voice Panning and Stereo Movement
The Voice Panning feature positions the six voices independently in the stereo field, with different spread algorithms. Thus, chords, pads and sequences can achieve much greater width, movement and spatial presence.
Built-in Effects
Three independent effect slots with 13 available algorithms per slot allow you to complete your sound directly within the synthesizer, from discrete processing to more intense creative effects.
49 Keys for Real Performance
The MiniFreak 49 uses the Arturia-designed KeyLab mk3 49/61 keybed, featuring 49 full-size semi-weighted keys, velocity and mono aftertouch. New aluminum pitch and modulation wheels, larger OLED display and direct access to core functions create a distinctly more integrated environment for performance and hands-on sound design.
Sequencer and Arpeggiator
The built-in sequencer features four modulation tracks, while the arpeggiator supports octave jumps, ratchets and repeats. With the Spice & Dice feature you can instantly create variations and randomization in your patterns, making every sequence a dynamic starting point for new ideas.
MiniFreak V — Complete DAW Integration
The MiniFreak V is included and offers full integration of the hardware synthesizer into your DAW. You can manage presets from your computer and control the software instrument directly from the hardware.
MiniFreak presets are also compatible with the MiniFreak 49, allowing easy transfer of your existing library to the new instrument.
