Mackie 1642VLZ4 16-Channel Compact Analog Mixer

Mackie 1642VLZ4, a professional compact 16-channel analog mixer equipped with 10 Onyx microphone preamps and 16 high-headroom line inputs, designed for studio, live sound and installation applications where flexible routing and reliable analog mixing are required. The VLZ4 Series combines low noise, high headroom and rugged construction, with a focus on clean and efficient management of multiple audio signals.

The 10 Onyx mic preamps provide 60dB of gain range, 128.5dB of dynamic range and the ability to handle line levels up to +22dBu, while phantom power is available for condenser microphones. Each channel features 3-band EQ at 80Hz, 2.5kHz and 12kHz, along with a 75Hz low-cut filter with an 18dB/octave slope on the microphone channels.

The mixer includes 4 aux sends, 4 stereo returns, an ALT 3/4 stereo bus and a control room / phones source matrix, offering extensive flexibility for signal routing, external effects integration and the creation of separate monitor or recording mixes. The 60mm log-taper faders and high-resolution 12-segment stereo meters provide direct and accurate level control.

The chassis is constructed from steel with a powder-coated finish, while the sealed rotary controls offer increased protection against dust and contaminants. The 1642VLZ4 can also be rack-mounted using the optional rackmount kit, while the multi-voltage power supply allows operation with different mains standards.
